January 29, 2009

Oh, happy, frabjous day! WordHappy is moving to a shiny, new location.

Come join me with all the continued celebrations of fabulous writing at my very own website:

See you there!

Happy Birthday to ME!

October 30, 2008

Thought I’d just throw out the factoid that WordHappy is a whopping one year old today! Thanks to everyone who’s tuned in so far. Tell all your friends. I’m still gunning for a gig onĀ EW. Oops. Did I say that out loud?

Seriously, without readers, this wouldn’t be any fun at all. So keep commenting, keep posting, and keep reading. You all are great.

Congrats, Emmy Writing Winners!

And the writing Emmys go to. . . . (sound of ripping envelope)

For Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series30 Rock – “Cooter” – written by Tina Fey

For Outstanding Writing in a Drama SeriesMad Men – “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes” (Pilot) – written by Matthew Weiner

Ahem, ahem – must I remind you all that these shows were celebrated here first? Thus adding credibility to my outrageous claims of having the best taste in writing of anyone you don’t know but read on a blog.

Congrats, guys!! Well deserved.

It’s All About Me!

I’m one step closer to my fifteen minutes of fame! A very fine writing blog, WordCount, by journalist Michelle Rafter has included “WordHappy” in her list of the best blogs for writers. Clearly, she has impeccable taste. But seriously, I’m honored to be in the company of so many really fine writing blogs. Definitely check out WordCount; Ms. Rafter has some interesting (and well presented) insights about the writing biz as it exists today.
